God’s Gifts
Who made the bird that sweetly sings,
And then mounts up on tiny wings;
Raindrops pattering in April shower,
Rosy sunsets and fragrant flowers;
Butterfly floating on gentle breeze,
Snowcapped mountains, azure seas?
Who made the moon with soft white light,
And shimmering stars to shine at night;
The rainbow’s arch with promise true,
Purple pansies and sparkling dew;
Blue skies above and trees so tall,
Nature’s beauty, Who planned it all?
Only One - and as I’ve trod
His lovely hills - I know it’s God!
