My Chocolate Bunny

I love you chocolate bunny, dear,
I think I’ll nibble on your ear.
And it won’t do you any harm,
If I nibble on your arm.

I don’t think anyone will know
If I nibble on your toe.
Oh, chocolate bunny, you’re so sweet,
I think I’ll nibble on your feet.

You’re better than an Easter Egg.
I think I’ll nibble on your leg.
I love you chocolate bunny so,
Oh no! Where did my bunny go?

Peter Cottontail

Here comes Peter Cottontail,
Hoppin’ down the bunny trail,
Hippity, hoppity,
Easter’s on its way.

Bringin’ every girl and boy Baskets full of Easter joy,
Things to make your Easter bright and gay.
He’s got jelly beans for Tommy,
Colored eggs for sister Sue,
There’s an orchid for your Mommy
And an Easter bonnet, too.

Oh, here comes Peter Cottontail,
Hoppin’ down the bunny trail,
Hippity, hoppity,
Happy Easter day.

Here comes Peter Cottontail,
Hoppin’ down the bunny trail,
Look at him stop,
And listen to him say:
“Try to do the things you should.”
Maybe if you’re extra good,
He’ll roll lots of Easter eggs your way.

You’ll wake up on Easter morning
And you’ll know that he was there
When you find those choc’late bunnies
That he’s hiding ev’rywhere.

Oh, here comes Peter Cottontail,
Hoppin’ down the bunny trail,
Hippity, hoppity,
Happy Easter day.

Easter

The Easter Bunny’s feet
     Go hop, hop, hop,
While his big pink ears
     Go flop, flop, flop.
He is rushing on his way

To bring our eggs
    On Easter Day,
With a hop, flop,
    Hop, flop, hop.

Sky Bunnies

The sky is full of bunny clouds
So soft and fat and white,
I wonder if they’re hiding eggs
For stars to find at night.

Because it’s Easter Eve, you know,
     And there’s no reason why
There shouldn’t be an Easter hunt
     In meadows in the sky.

Easter Baskets

“What’s in your Easter basket?” inquired Mother Emmaline.
“Marshmallow chicks and a watercolor paint set,” said Irene.
“I got three boiled eggs and a pocket knife!” exclaimed Dean.
“I hold a chocolate bunny and a hair band!” replied Francine.
“A blue leather-bound Bible and a rosary!” declared Pauline.
“Mine’s filled with candy eggs and a harmonica!” cried Eileen.
“I have flowers from my husband,” stated Mother Emmaline.
“Let’s all go for a Sunday stroll to church!” said Father Gene.
