I love you chocolate bunny, dear,
     I think I’ll nibble on your ear.
And it won’t do you any harm,
     If I nibble on your arm.
 
I don’t think anyone will know
     If I nibble on your toe.
Oh, chocolate bunny, you’re so sweet,
     I think I’ll nibble on your feet.
 
You’re better than an Easter Egg.
     I think I’ll nibble on your leg.
I love you chocolate bunny so,
     Oh no! Where did my bunny go?

Here comes Peter Cottontail,
Hoppin’ down the bunny trail,
Hippity, hoppity,
Easter’s on its way.

Bringin’ every girl and boy Baskets full of Easter joy,
Things to make your Easter bright and gay.
He’s got jelly beans for Tommy,
Colored eggs for sister Sue,
There’s an orchid for your Mommy
And an Easter bonnet, too.

Oh, here comes Peter Cottontail,
Hoppin’ down the bunny trail,
Hippity, hoppity,
Happy Easter day.

Here comes Peter Cottontail,
Hoppin’ down the bunny trail,
Look at him stop,
And listen to him say:
“Try to do the things you should.”
Maybe if you’re extra good,
He’ll roll lots of Easter eggs your way.

You’ll wake up on Easter morning
And you’ll know that he was there
When you find those choc’late bunnies
That he’s hiding ev’rywhere.

She is known for her 30 books, including 23 children’s storybooks that feature animals including, “The Tale of Peter Rabbit,” which celebrates country life. Helen Beatrix Potter passed on at 77 years of age on 22 December 1943 in Near Sawrey, Lancashire, England.

I wonder if they’re hiding eggs
     For stars to find at night.
 
Because it’s Easter Eve, you know,
     And there’s no reason why

“What’s in your Easter basket?” inquired Mother Emmaline.
“Marshmallow chicks and a watercolor paint set,” said Irene.
“I got three boiled eggs and a pocket knife!” exclaimed Dean.
“I hold a chocolate bunny and a hair band!” replied Francine.
“A blue leather-bound Bible and a rosary!” declared Pauline.
“Mine’s filled with candy eggs and a harmonica!” cried Eileen.
“I have flowers from my husband,” stated Mother Emmaline.
“Let’s all go for a Sunday stroll to church!” said Father Gene.
