Kindness To Animals Day, sometimes also known as Be Kind To Animals Day, is observed around the world on 4 October each year. Begun in 1915 by the American Humane Society, the day is one of being considerate to the feathered-kind, furred-kind, finned-kind, and other living creatures with whom we share the world.
Kindness To Animals Week is similarly observed, in the first week of May each year.
