I Said a Prayer for You Today
I said a prayer for you today,
And I know God must have heard.
I felt the answer in my heart,
Although He spoke no word.
I didn’t ask for wealth or fame,
I knew you wouldn’t mind.
I asked Him to send treasures,
Of a far more lasting kind.
I asked that He’d be near you,
At the start of each new day.
To grant you health and blessings,
And friends to share your way.
I asked for happiness for you,
In all things great and small.
But it was for His loving care,
I prayed the most of all.

He's blessed me with so much more than money ;)
I came across this poem today and I searched for the author and this came up. I love this poem so much. I have a question for you. I make and sell journals and I wanted to include this poem in some of them, but I wanted to give credit to the author, hence my search to find out who the author is. So, I guess I’m asking you for your permission to include this in some of my journals. When I first searched the poem is said Author Unknown. But then I found your comment and I didn’t want to include it without your permission. Again, it’s a beautiful poem. Your Mom is very special. I hope to hear from you soon. I was just ready to send it to someone I know who doesn't believe in prayer when I ran across your post. Some have come back to thank me for remembering them in such a precious way. I give your mother all the credit for all of it.

As far as the recognition , there are many unsung heroes in life , who do things with gladness and singleness of heart , your Mommy is one of them and you can be very proud of her ! I truly thank her for this special gift she has given to me and I am sure thousands of others .
