□ Spoon
□ Plastic drinking straw (optional)
□ Vanilla ice cream
□ Root beer soft drink

Instructions

3. Serve.

Add more mugs and spoons and plastic drinking straws, plus napkins, and then invite people, to make a root beer float social.

Root beer is a carbonated soft drink containing artificial sassafras flavoring, and does not contain sassafras or beer. It is widely sold under the Shasta, A & W, Mug, Hires, and other brand names, particularly in North America, but is spreading in popularity and availability to other regions. Where root beer is not available, substituting other carbonated soft drinks can be attempted.
