Worthy Of My Friends
 
It is my joy in life to find
     At every turning of the road,
The strong arm of a comrade kind
     To help me onward with my load:
And since I have no gold to give,
     And love alone must make amends,
My only prayer is, while I live, -
     God make me worthy of my friends!

Frank Dempster Sherman, also known by the pseudonym Felix Carmen, was born on 6 May 1860 in Peekskill, New York, United States of America. He became a teacher and a poet. Frank Dempster Sherman passed on at 56 years of age on 19 September 1916 in New York City, New York, United States of America.
