A Friendly Lesson
I was downhearted,
lonely, and blue;
Then someone came by -
a friend that I knew.
“’Tis good to see you,”
she said with a smile,
And how it did to cheer me,
making life seem worthwhile.
Let’s try it then, friends,
as we travel life’s way,
To cheer one another,
and brighten the day.
With God’s love in our hearts
as we go about,
Let’s see that it tells,
and let it shine out.
