Woodland Animals Quiz
Can you name the woodland animals shown as silhouettes above?
Woodlands are areas that have trees, but trees that are fewer in number and further apart than in tree-dense forests and woods. The open spaces between the trees in woodland areas allows more sunlight to get through to plants growing on the ground, such as grasses, shrubs, and green, leafy plants. The greater diversity of plants found in woodlands creates a habitat for a wide variety of woodland animals.
Clockwise from the top left corner, the woodland animals shown in silhouette are a bear, a fox, a hedgehog, a squirrel, a wolf, a bear cub, an owl, a rabbit, a deer, and a butterfly.
